Shari Westmoreland, CMP, has more than 18 years of meeting management, conference management, convention management and business management experience.
She leads project teams for international and regional clients, including The Financial Services Institute, IBM, Georgia-Pacific and the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association. Shari excels at bringing clients a return on their investment by overseeing branding, operations and P&L for projects.
Shari began her career in St. Louis, Mo. She managed major brand promotion events for Coca-Cola and AT&T in conjunction with major sporting and entertainment organizations. She served as the Broadcast Services Coordinator for Atlanta Olympic Broadcasting (AOB) during the 1996 Olympic Games, planning and executing operations for more than 4,000 international broadcast personnel. Shari also served as Director of Events for WorldTravel BTI, where she directed staff and all corporate events, meetings and tradeshows.
Shari has a passion for the Meetings and Events industry and is a frequent speaker at Georgia State University and Kennesaw State University. She actively participates in the Georgia Meeting Professional International (GaMPI), the Business Marketing Association (BMA), the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) and the Greater Women’s Business Council (WBENC). She currently serves on the board of BMA and serves on committees for GSAE and WBENC. In 2008, she was elected as the GaMPI Chapter Leader of the Year.
